Staff Accountant

SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Director of Business Operations, the Staff Accountant will have a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures

Pay: $55,000-$62,000 annually

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 
Successful completion of Background, MVR and Drug Free Workplace Screenings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university/college or five (5) years accounting experience including monthly accounting system entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 
Valid Florida Driver's License.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of journal entries and monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support month-end, quarter end, and year end close process
  • Prepares routine and ad hoc financial statements and statistical reports
  • Perform analytical review of financial results and understand factors driving variances
  • Assists with interim and year-end audits
  • Assists with budget preparation
  • Prepares financial presentations for management, executive, and Board of Directors meetings
