Finance Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Compiles, classifies, records, verifies, and maintains data and payments to accounts payable and receivable records, prepares billings on a monthly basis, research and reviews finance transaction as needed, provides administrative and clerical support to the Finance Department by performing the following duties.

Salary range - $42,000 - 52,000

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews and posts receipts and payments to appropriate ledgers, spreadsheets, records, and databases.
  • Prepares, sorts, copies, files, and mails invoices, receipts, checks, correspondence, and other requested items.
  • Audits invoices against purchase requisitions, research discrepancies, and reconciles for payment.
  • Prepares accounts payable checks.
  • Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with delivering invoices or obtaining payment for bills.
  • Research and processes charge backs, returns, refunds, freight charges, cost of lost or damaged goods, bad checks, and similar items.
  • Answers accounts payable inquiries and follows up.
  • Monitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure payments are accurate and timely.
  • Keeps track of all grants payable/receivable activities including due dates for reports, invoicing and other grant requirements.
  • Prepares billing on a timely basis for contracts and grants.
  • Maintains schedules on a monthly basis for audit preparation.
  • Participates as a team member and contributes to the enhancement of the department and the agency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 
Successful completion of Background, MVR and Federal  Drug Free Workplace Screenings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of Accounting software, Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 
Valid Florida Driver's License
